Valet Program

2018-19 STUDENT EAGLE VALET PROGRAM

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Greenbrook Elementary School facilitates an a.m. Student Eagle Valet Drop-off Program from 8:20am to 8:30am.  Please do not have your Student Eagle Valet arrive prior to 8:15am, as this is when supervision of the Student Eagle Valet Program officially begins.

We believe that the Student Eagle Valet Drop-off Program helps create a safe environment for dropping off students, develops leadership character traits and promotes student service (volunteerism) in our participating 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.

If your 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade student is interested in participating in the Student Eagle Valet Drop-off Program, please DOWNLOAD THE EAGLE VALET INTEREST FORM FOR 2018-19 HERE.

OUR PROCESS

The valet drop off location is from the School Office to the Kids Country Crosswalk. This area has signs, cones and outlined with yellow paint. The student valets are stationed along this location. The driver pulls into the valet drop-off area and the valets flag the drivers toward them. When the first driver reaches the farthest valet, the valet signals the driver to stop.  The trailing drivers stop directly behind each other.

When the driver has made a complete stop the valet will open the passenger door, greet the family with a "Good Morning’"and help the child(ren) and their backpacks exit out of the vehicle. It is extremely important for your child(ren) to exit on the curbside only to avoid traffic from the passing lane. The valet will then tell the driver, “Have a nice day” and close the vehicle door. The vehicle will pull forward and out of the valet area.

Drivers: Please do NOT get out of your vehicle; this slows the process down. Backpacks must be in the vehicle and NOT in the trunk. Students standing in the roadway pulling their backpacks from the trunk are put in a dangerous position and this is NOT allowed.

IMPORTANT RULES & EXPECTATIONS FOR VEHICLES IN THE VALET DROP OFF AREA:
  • NO CELL PHONE USE OR SPEEDING IN LINE
  • Only the student is to exit the vehicle.
  • The student must exit directly on to the curb.
  • Student must exit immediately. This is not a time for morning instructions.
  • Honking in the valet zone in not permitted.
  • Always pull as far forward as possible.
  • Pets must be on a leash or kennel, not loose in the car.
  • Do not get out of your car or remain stopped to watch your child after they exit the car.
  • Always practice patience and be courteous to others.

OTHER INFORMATION

If your child(ren) needs help walking to class due to their young age or having too much too carry, just ask the valet for an ‘escort’ and the escort will help carry your child’s school items and walk them to class.

Our students' safety is our top priority and we would like to thank you in advance for you and your child’s patience and cooperation.
